Diamond Tile Hole Saws
Diamond tile hole saws cut circular openings with a diamond-bearing rim. Choose the construction for the workpiece, then match hole diameter, cutting depth and machine connection. AXIMET lists a diamond-grit series for tile, marble and glass, and a separate vacuum-brazed series for tile and porcelain.
Choose the Construction for Your Material
Identify the exact tile or covering material and its thickness first. Then select the hole-saw construction and the operating method specified for that item. Match the cutting diameter and usable depth before checking the machine connection. The diamond-grit and vacuum-brazed ranges below have separate application and connection details.
| Product range | Application scope | Selection details |
|---|---|---|
| Diamond-grit hole saws | Tile, marble and glass; construction selected for the application | Listed dimensions below; hollow body with diamond-bearing rim |
| Vacuum-brazed hole saws | Tile and porcelain applications | Separate size and connection specification; M10 and M14 connection options are listed |
Match the exact hole saw to the workpiece and its operating instructions. A connection size does not identify the permitted machine, cooling method or substrate.

The diamond-grit range is listed with plastic-box packaging. Include the diameters and quantities needed for your order; size availability and packaging details belong in the itemised quotation.
Match the Connection to Your Machine
A straight shank grips in a suitable chuck. A threaded tool uses the corresponding spindle or approved connection. M14 identifies a connection, not the cutting diameter, and a straight-shank tool should not be ordered as an M14 equivalent.
Provide the machine model and its holder or spindle details when enquiring. For threaded vacuum-brazed tools, specify the required connection separately from the hole diameter. If an adapter is involved, its suitability also depends on the exact tool and machine; a matching thread alone does not establish the complete setup.
Use the Cutting Depth, Not the Overall Length
The 50 mm overall length in the diamond-grit table includes more than the cutting cup. Its listed cutting depth is 20 mm. Check the workpiece thickness against the cutting depth and the access available at the drilling position.
Use the operating and cooling method specified for the exact product. Wet or dry use cannot be selected from the hole saw's appearance or connection alone. For broader selection guidance, see the Tile Drill Bit Selection Guide.
Diamond Tile Hole Saw FAQs
Can One Diamond Hole Saw Cover Tile, Porcelain and Glass?
These materials need application-specific selection. The diamond-grit range lists tile, marble and glass, while the vacuum-brazed range separately lists tile and porcelain applications. Specify the actual material rather than treating all diamond rims as interchangeable.
Do the Dimensions Above Apply to Vacuum-Brazed Hole Saws?
No. The table describes the listed diamond-grit range. Vacuum-brazed tools need their own diameter, depth and connection specification.
Is a 50 Mm Overall Length a 50 Mm Cutting Depth?
No. The listed diamond-grit tools have a 50 mm overall length and a 20 mm cutting depth. Workpiece thickness must be assessed against the cutting depth.
What Does M14 Mean on a Hole Saw?
M14 is a thread connection designation. It does not mean that the tool cuts a 14 mm hole. Give both the cutting diameter and the required connection in your enquiry.
Should the Hole Diameter Match the Outside Diameter of a Fitting?
Use the opening size specified for the fitting or installation. The required opening may include clearance, so the fitting's nominal size is not automatically the hole-saw diameter. State the required finished hole diameter and tile thickness in the enquiry; use the fitting manufacturer's installation drawing where one is available.
Can I Choose Wet or Dry Use from the Shank Type?
No. Follow the operating instructions for the specific construction and application. A straight shank or M14 thread does not, by itself, establish a wet-use or dry-use rating.
Request a Diamond Tile Hole Saw Quotation
Send the workpiece material, required hole diameters and thickness, with quantities for each size. Add the machine model and connection details; include an installation drawing if it defines the opening size. For other configurations, browse the Diamond Drill Bits Collection.
